These guys have the right "commedystreet" attitude which makes the video lighthearted and very funny. Playing advocatus diaboli could also be a subsection in a show played like this in real life pranks or scripted.

This is amazing. I´ve seen the this kind of finger dancing as elements in modern breakdance e.g. at TED (6:04), but paired with this kind of high end animation the coolness multiplies by 100.
This is what I mean when I say "We need content which works because it only works on the internet". In no other medium you could put together different artistic elements so easily and although the animation nor the performance is easy it looks sooth and stylish.

One way of creating interesting content is imo spoofing or trolling.
Creating content which is outrageous or just hilarious when taken at face value can create high view counts through provoked attention. Examples are Lonelygirl15 or the "Gingers have no souls" video based on the corresponding Southpark episode.
The problem of course is that you can´t do troll videos on a regular basis, because once you established some videos everyone will know you as a "professional troll" and your credibility is gone.

But having a troll video in your content here and there can gain you a lot of attention, be it positive or negative.
